Anonymous Tip Leads Police to Recover Stolen 1953 Chevrolet 210

In a dramatic turn of events, police recovered a stolen classic Chevy 210 car behind an abandoned warehouse in Binghampton on Friday, following an anonymous tip that led to its location.

Bryson Lochemes, one of the car's owners, received a mysterious phone call that provided the exact coordinates of the vintage Chevy. "They said you can get your car. This is where it is, covered by a blue tarp behind this building," Lochemes recounted.

The Memphis Police Department's OCU Auto Theft Detectives and the Appling Farms Station General Investigative Bureau swiftly responded to the tip, locating the stolen 1953 Chevrolet 210 at 645 Harrell Street. This vintage Chevy, meticulously restored by Lochemes for his son, had been taken from a secured garage in East Memphis early Wednesday morning.

Surveillance footage captured the thief hotwiring the car and driving it away. Astonishingly, the thief returned a few hours later to steal the victim's trailer as well, which remains unrecovered.

"We are just relieved to get the car back," Lochemes expressed. "Our son is going to be very happy to get his gift all over again. We could not have done this without the help of the Memphis task force. They are amazing."

Upon recovery, auto theft investigators processed the vehicle and discovered an unknown fingerprint. Despite this lead, no arrests have been made yet.

Lochemes took to Facebook shortly after the theft to spread the word about the missing Chevy. Early this morning, he updated his followers with the good news of the car's recovery and extended his gratitude for their support. "We are still searching for the trailer and feel confident that it will be found shortly," he stated.
